About UKIRA

UKIRA offers a searchable database for resource discovery in all subject areas of the humanities and social sciences relating to Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
  • By providing descriptions of library collections held in UK university, special and public libraries. The records include information on the content, history and development, strengths, subjects, languages and countries covered, collection material and size, catalogue and collection management information etc.
  • By providing holdings information of newspapers published in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa which are held in UK university, special and public libraries. The database offers bibliographic records of newspaper titles and holdings information and is searchable by title, city, country, and language.

  • By providing information on how to gain access to these institutions
