The collection is mainly aimed at supporting undergraduate courses, and includes items on philosophy, theology and history.
History and development
Taught courses in Islam began in the Faculty in the mid-1990s, since when the Library has collected materials for both teaching and research.

General arrangement and access regulations
The Library has its own unique classification system whcih supports the broad categories of the undergraduate courses. Books on Islam are found mainly in the history sections (6 & 8) and in particular in 11 (Non-Judaeo-Christian Religions).
