• Only the free text parts of records are searched in the quick search. For further search options, e.g. filtering your results using the defined parts of records, please use the advanced search.
• Each search word is treated as a separate word, i.e. records containing all of the words entered in the query box will be displayed.
• You can search for a whole phrase by enclosing the phrase in double quotes, e.g. "oriental manuscripts".
• You can use wildcards such as * and ? to replace one or more characters in the search term, e.g. "orient*" will find records which contain "oriental" or "orientalist".
